In the former office and workshop spaces of the family-owned electric-heating-sanitary company F.W. Mertens jr., based in the former textile industry town and Garzweiler open pit mine neighbor Mönchengladbach since 1875, the exhibition curated by Elisa R. Linn and Lennart Wolff explores the relationship between energy, fossil capital and art production.

The exhibition takes place at the joint invitation of the galleries Drei (Cologne) and Markus Lüttgen (Düsseldorf). It marks the beginning of a year-long series of exhibitions with a changing focus by the two galleries.
