Tiril Hasselknippe’s sculptural work often incorporates moving image, sound as well as text and depicts post-apocalyptic scenarios, reflecting contemporary unrest in a time of constant crisis brought on by global capitalism. Mining architectural histories in order to create deserted, enigmatic situations at the junction of archaeology and science fiction, Hasselknippe explores our collective imagination, its speculations and its fears of the anthropocene.
